Late last month, Maruti Suzuki launched the eagerly anticipated New Ciaz 2018. The flagship Maruti sedan has received some subtle cosmetic as well as essential technological enhancements. Opulent interiors: The New Ciaz 2018 has been crafted with opulence and technological brilliance in equal measure as its plush new interiors are complemented perfectly by the 4.2 inch multi-information display (MID) unit along with a capacitive touchscreen system which plays the music and displays the navigation. The car’s cabin space retains its black-beige color and has a sophisticated glossy finish.
3. Power packed engine: Perhaps the most significant upgrade in the New Ciaz 2018 is the even more powerful engine; which makes the car the perfect blend of luxury and performance. The new 1.5 L petrol engine may seem like an underwhelming upgrade on the 1.4 L engine of the earlier rendition, but the new engine comfortably surpasses its predecessor when it comes to performance, as its power and torque figures are 103 bhp and 138 Nm respectively. The diesel variant also boasts brilliant figures as it produces 89 bhp and 200 nm torque. The engine has also been coupled with the automaker’s trademark SHVS technology which helps the car lower emissions and significantly improves its fuel efficiency, as testified by its ARAI certified 21.56 kmpl mileage statistic.
4. Upgraded Safety features: The New Ciaz 2018 has been equipped with state-of-the-art new safety features in addition to its standard dual airbags, anti-lock braking system, and electronic braking distribution features. The reverse parking assistance sensors and speed alert system have been incorporated in all variants of the vehicle. The Hill Hold and Electronic Stability Program are welcome new features in the facelift version of the Ciaz.
